Mauricio Linares-Aguilar was born in Ahuachapán, El Salvador in 1966. The artist works in a variety of media, often locally sourced, seeking concrete relationships of color, form, and light that paradoxically suggest the infinite possibilities inherent in our lives. He produces paintings, drawings, printmaking works, photographs, and installations. Linares-Aguilar has showed his work in several group exhibitions around the world, and he also has individually exhibited his work eighteen times. He got his MFA at the Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences of the University of Arkansas, USA. Linares-Aguilar is a Fulbright Alumni and AECID Ibero-American creators residence program fellow. By now, he is a PhD student at the Fine Arts Department of Complutense of Madrid University, Spain.

El artista trabaja en una variedad de medios, a menudo de origen local, en busca de relaciones concretas de color, la forma y la luz que paradójicamente sugieren las infinitas posibilidades inherentes en nuestras vidas. Produce pinturas, dibujos, grabados, fotografías e instalaciones. Linares-Aguilar ha mostrado su obra en muchas exhibiciones alrededor del mundo. También, él ha exhibido individualmente su trabajo en dieciocho ocasiones. Linares-Aguilar obtuvo el grado de Maestría en Bellas Artes, MFA del Fulbright College of Arts & Sciences de la Universidad de Arkansas, Estados Unidos de América. Linares-Aguilar es exbecario Fulbright y creador residente del programa para Iberoamérica de la AECID. Actualmente, el artista es doctorando en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

    Tenga muy buenas tardes, mi nombre es Guido Larrave, me dirijo a usted para comentarle que mi hija del 8 Grado de la Escuela Alemana, en la clase de arte, le han dejado que seleccionaran un artista salvadoreño que les interesaran sus obras, le acompañamos al Museo Marte y le impresiono su obra “En ESte Mar”. Por lo que desea realizarle una pequeña entrevista por este medio.
